Woody has become a valuable friend to The Learning Ground.
He has lots of things to show you and wants you to know that you can have
more fun by loving and respecting each other. He has agreed to guide you
through the Kids Expo of Learning. You will see him everywhere.
Woody says that you may not know this, but an inch worm
is the larvae of the moth. After the winter months, adult moths emerge
in the spring to lay eggs on the surface of leaves. Larvae emerge and feed
for two to four weeks on those leaves and then spin cocoons. This is just
like the butterfly - a complete metamorphosis.
Woody likes to hang out on pieces of grass or on flower
stems. He will be hard to find as he is the same color as the grass he
hangs on. By the way, he wants people to actually think he is measuring
the length of something inch by inch.
